35 weeks and she's trying to arrive!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas Holiday! It's starting to look like Malorie is making strides to be born earlier then she needs to be!! I spent last Tuesday in the hospital on meds to try and stop contracts and last night I spent in the hospital until 5am trying to stop early labor. They gave me every medication under the sun and the contractions just kept coming. Finally they said we have done all we can and sent me home with a prescription that is supposed to help slow down the onset of early labor. So far so good today, but looks like it wont be much longer now.

BP looks good and her weight is over 5lbs so they aren't too concerend if she wants to come early at this point. They feel confident that she will be healthy enough should it come to that. My poor body has been totally inhabited!! I'm not sure how much bigger I can get before it just gives up :)

Keep praying I can keep her in for at least 2 more weeks!!

5 Weeks Left!

Well really 6 based on my due date but because of previous blood pressure problems they plan to induce a week early. I can't believe it!! Time has really flown by for us! It was like yesterday when I finally realized I was even pregnant.

We have been getting things ready for Miss Malorie to arrive. The room is ready, her clothes are ready, bags are packed.. Yes, I'm a very overly prepared, overly organized OCD individual :) That's not a bad thing right ;)

Caden seems to be understanding what's going on to some degree. I can tell because he starting to act out in ways he never has before. I think he sees how much we are putting into preparing for Malorie to arrive and plus I haven't been as involved with him as much as I used to be just because the bigger I get the harder it is to chase after him. But, I think all in all things will work out just fine and he will love her as much as we do!

We are ready for Christmas to come and for the new year to be here!! This year is definitely going to be a year of "new things" starting with Malorie's arrival!! We can't wait! Here are a few photos from when I was 31 weeks along.. as well as Malorie's room.

Crazy Month...

Well this past month has been really crazy.. I still need to post a few soccer pics, but for now I do have another belly pic for those of you that were wanting to see an update (26 weeks counting down and 14 weeks left - one more week until I'm in my 3rd trimester). For those that don't know.. our baby girls name is Malorie Elizabeth Davis. We are anticipating her arrival!

Also, my grandmother passed away on October 9th from a hemorrhagic stroke. It's been a difficult month for us, as we all love and miss her very much. I'm truly thankful to have been the last one to have spent some quality time with her. As well as giving her time to spend with Caden, which she always enjoyed. I will miss her dearly, although I know she is in a better place.

He's growing up :(

Wow.. It's so hard for me to believe that Caden is 3 1/2. It seems like just yesterday that he was born. Trust me I remember those labor pains :) Just lately he's gone from toddler little boy over night. I'm happy but I'm also sad to see how quickly those years passed me by. I guess that's why people have more then one kid - myself included. On top of starting school, he starts soccer tomorrow! I will officially be a soccer Mom tomorrow and I couldn't be happier! He has also gone from 3 to 13 over night. The other day I was on my way out the door and he said "Mom, give me a kiss and hug, ok now be careful!" Whose the parent here ;) He's also started telling me that he knows what he's doing - apparently I'm not getting it heheh! All in all he's turned it to the sweetest, smartest, loving little boy I have ever known. Of course I'm his mother and I'm going to think that. He's going to be the best big brother, I just know it! I'm really looking forward to watching him interact with his little sister soon. He has been putting his head on my belly and talking to his sister. He comes and pats my belly and asks me if I'm ok. I just hope this continue's on through high school... Those are the years that I'm dreading already!

The 5th of October is mine and Michaels 7 year wedding anniversary! Crazy how time flies! Seven years of marriage, one child and one on the way. All seems right in the Davis house hold :)
Tomorrow we plan to go to Caden's first soccer game and then take him out to celebrate afterwards. Then come home and Michael and I will leave for a few hours alone for our anniversary. Hopefully all goes as planned :) I'll post pics later this weekend!

Panama City Beach Photos - Shell Island

Here are some photos from Panama City Beach!! These were taken as a gift to my parents for their 30th Wedding Anniversary!! Congratulations and we love you! Take a look!

It's a girl!!!!!!!!!

Well a lot has happened since the last time I posted. I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant! That's an accomplishment for anyone who knows my history with pregnancy. Someday I'll have to tell you the story of how I found out.. But, for now we will update ya on the current events. First of all I'm 19 weeks pregnant with our first little girl! We are super excited and can't wait to meet her. I recently quit my job, that was hard for me, but overall it was for the best for our situation at the time. Caden started MDO this week. He loves going to school and learning with his friends!! He also starts soccer at the end of Sept! That should be really cute! I can't believe how much he has grown up!! He's such a little man and let me tell you.. He looks just like his Dad - if you haven't seen us in a while! We recently visited Panama City Beach, FL a few weeks back. I'll post some of those pics too! It was really relaxing and nice to get away. Hopefully Michael and I can get back out one more time before our baby girl is born. She's due to arrive February 2, 2010. Enjoy the new pics :)

8 Weeks 2 Days

Well I had my first OB visit on Tuesday. Dr said that all looked great and my uterus ( a word I'm not allowed to say out loud at home - along with numerous other medical terms used during pregnancy) is growing right on schedule. In 2 weeks, 10 weeks pg, I go back for my first trimester appointment. They said that I can stop the progesterone around week 10 since the placenta takes over by that point and therefore controls the hormones to the baby - or something like that. :)
Then I will go in every month for 7 months, then every 2 weeks for 2 months then every other week the last month of my pregnancy. Caden still hasn't caught onto what is going on. We talk to him about it periodically and he knows Mommy can't pick him up for a while. But, he will, he's a smart cookie and will start to notice how big I'm getting soon!

Starting over...

Ok, well I couldn't remember my password to my old blog so I decided to start a new one. My old computer used to hold all of my passwords for me and it died a few months back.. Anyway, I had to go create a new gmail account and everything.. That's what I get for not keeping track of everything :)

Well, Caden's soccer camp is over.. It was really fun to watch him interact with other kids and his coaches. He really enjoys getting to play on a team with other kids. All of them were 3.. I think Caden was the youngest though. It was just so cute to watch them run around and have fun! :) I can't wait for the real games to begin.

Work has been busy for me.. It's wedding season (June) and so that doesn't help the business at all! I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and certainly feeling like it too! I have had a few days of nausea off and on, extremely tired and all the rest of the crappy syptoms that come along with early pregnancy. So I'm hoping this next month flies by quickly! I'm looking forward to feeling back to normal soon. :)

Michael has been home and I'm hoping he doesn't have to fly out too soon. He has to be gone at the end of July and by my calculations I should be just starting to feel better! I guess that's it for now.. I'm exhausted and headed for a nap.. :) Trying to get as many as I can while I can :)
